Would you rather eat chocolate or wear it? How about both! This helpful article, Cosmo Magazine shares the benefits of cocoa for your skin.
"Consuming dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa) has multiple beauty benefits. It can boost your skin's moisture, protect from sun damage and diminish wrinkles.
They say our skin is a true reflection of health because it's the last place to get nutrition, but cocoa is a source of manganese which helps nutrient absorption...
Not only that, but by reducing our stress hormones, chocolate gives you a happy high AND prevents the breakdown of collagen - the wrinkle-busting protein that keeps skin plump and youthful.
Rich in vitamins A, B1, C, D and E, plus iron and calcium, chocolate nourishes your skin from the inside out to replace lost moisture. PLUS it prevents ageing; defending damage by protecting from harmful UV rays thanks to its antioxidant flavonoids. Who knew?"

Here's a super simple At Home Face Mask you can make out of 2 ingredients in your pantry:
- 1 Tbsp of Cocoa (preferably dark, not milk chocolate)
- 1 Tbsp of yogurt (you can substitute water if you prefer to keep it vegan)
Blend the 2 ingredients together in a bowl to form a Elmer's Glue type paste. Apply to a CLEAN face and neck with your fingers (or a brush if you want to get fancy). Let the mask set for 15-20 minutes (until it dries).
To rinse, use wet hands to loosen the cocoa mask a little bit. Swirl the water around until the mask starts to wash off. Then use cool water to rinse it completely away.
We prefer to do masks before we hop in the shower because unlike those beauty commercials where you see people splashing their face with water - we are NOT that graceful.
Masks are a fun thing to do with your significant other (the family that masks together, stays together!) or for a self-care moment to yourself. You do NOT have to use these gently exfoliating masks more than once or twice a week.
Enjoy!
